VLW: B&K 2011 Million-Dollar Settlements

Virginia Lawyers Weekly reported a total of 49 million-dollar settlements over the past year across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Two of these cases were won through the skills of the attorneys at Blankingship & Keith.

1. Peter S. Everett litigated on a case, gaining a $3 million settlement of personal injury for a bicyclist struck by a vehicle.
2. Peter S. Everett, Mark A. Towery, and Chidi I. James won a $1.6 million settlement of personal injury resulting from vehicular collision.

Also, reported in the February 6th issue were several large settlement cases filed in out-of-state courts but settled with the help of Virginia lawyers. Peter S. Everett and Chidi I. James obtained a $4.8 million settlement litigating a trucking collision case.
