One of the most selfish acts that a person in our society can commit today is to text while driving. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) research has shown that in the U.S. more than nine people are killed each day by distracted drivers. According to the CDC, 3,331 were killed by distracted drivers in 2011. In that same year, 387,000 people were injured in distracted driving accidents. We at Blankingship & Keith encourage you to watch the short film "From One Second to the Next" by filmmaker Werner Herzog and take the "It Can Wait" pledge to refrain from texting while driving. Rest assured that your decision to refrain from texting while driving will save lives and make our communities safer.
